Behind the scenes of an exclusive HNW matchmaking business

How do you go from a humble Psychotherapist, to an internationally colossal businesswoman you ask? A woman who successfully built and runs one of the businesses we wish to talk about today, donating over £500,000 in various charitable projects…Meet Susie Ambrose.

Ingeniously spotting a gap in the personal introductions market at the beginning of the century in 2000, she founded the first exclusive luxury matchmaking company; Seventy Thirty.

The name Seventy Thirty came about after a study established that successful people spend around 70% of their time working and only 30% socializing. Today, Susie is an expert in the luxury market, and with investments in the UK and all over Europe, she is truly an inspirational lady.

Estate and Manor Magazine were lucky to talk to Susie about the modern-day cupid’s craft of matchmaking and why her services are immensely in demand.

“At the beginning of 2000, during one of my private practice sessions, an aristocratic gentleman requested my advice in helping him to find love, someone special whom he could share a deep intimate connection with, a companion.

After conducting my own research, I discovered that ‘introduction agencies’ were not exclusive and did not provide any form of luxury service. There was a gap in the market for a company, which exclusively catered for affluent single people: it just did not exist; I decided to create it.

With my decision to help my client, I discovered my own passion successfully matching him with a woman he loved and respected. It was the catalyst that drove me to build Seventy Thirty.

A dedicated matchmaking specialist per member

Here, at Seventy Thirty, we are a team of fully qualified and experienced Psychologists who offer support and advice in all aspects of our Members’ lives. Every member has a dedicated Matchmaking Specialist who is a relationship expert and qualified Psychologist.

I used my background in Psychotherapy, and my team of Psychologists to develop a personalised, professional, and highly effective service.

Using psychological measures to match partners has been the platform of the concept, and from a business standpoint, highly successful model and strategy.

Our Members are high net-worth individuals from a variety of unique backgrounds, nationalities, lifestyles, industries, all with different relationship aspirations, and of course of all ages.

They come to us, the experts, as they share a desire for a partner and a committed long-term relationship. Our Members value discretion and expect a top level of service in matchmaking, as they do in all the other aspects of their affluent lives.

All our Members have worked extremely hard to become the successes that they are today. They have real raw ambition and big dreams and goals. They have the vision and drive to achieve these goals.

There are most definitely no online lists of Seventy Thirty Members. There is no way of knowing who is a Member other than by signing up as a Member yourself, even then we operate highly discreetly with extreme confidence. You will only be introduced to the Members we propose as potential partners. This level of discretion is important for all our clients but particularly for those who are prominent and well known, for whom this aspect of our service is paramount. We do business with respect and integrity.

Besides matchmaking, some of our Members enjoy date coaching and relationship coaching, but also being invited to many charitable and social events throughout their membership”.
